International WordPress + Hreflang Architecture

A review process and custom plugin for relationships between regional WordPress pages.

What this means: Linked related language pages and controlled which relationships were published.

Read the full project summary

A WordPress Multisite network spanning nine languages needed its regional pages correctly linked to their English equivalents for search engines — but the relationship data behind those links was incomplete and had no way to stay trustworthy as content changed. The technical challenge wasn't writing hreflang tags; it was building a reliable way to know which page was the translation of which, across independent sites, including one hosted entirely outside the network.

CodingBeings built a network-activated WordPress plugin that scans and auto-matches Pages by slug, hierarchy and title similarity, gives a human a confidence-scored review interface, and only publishes hreflang output and localized navigation once relationships are explicitly trusted. A two-layer cache keeps output fast across eight sites without hitting the database on every page load.

The result: hreflang management moved from scattered manual tags to structured, auditable relationship data — reviewable, correctable, and safe to extend with AI-assisted diagnosis without giving up deterministic validation.

Automating Subscription-Based Content Access Between Laravel and WordPress

Connected subscription payments in Laravel to member accounts and restricted WordPress content.

What this means: A subscription in one system determined access in the other.

Read the full project summary

A dental services client used Laravel for registration and subscription payments, while its paid content lived in WordPress. The two systems were disconnected: paying for a subscription did not automatically give a customer the right WordPress account or content access.

The integration made Laravel the source of truth for identity and subscription status. A custom WordPress plugin received registration and payment events through a REST API, created users and assigned purpose-built Free Subscriber or Paid Subscriber roles. JWT-based single sign-on connected the login experience, with a dedicated synchronization layer handling the differences between WordPress cookies and Laravel tokens.

Customers could register and pay in Laravel, then access the WordPress content their subscription unlocked without a second login or routine manual role assignment. A Laravel reconciliation command provided a recovery path for the occasional provisioning failure, so an unsuccessful sync could be corrected for an individual user.

Role: Full-stack application and WordPress integration development

Peanut Butter Printing: A Custom Design and Group-Ordering Platform

Connected apparel design, minimum order quantities and six campaign-pricing tiers in WooCommerce.

What this means: Customers could customize products and order under the same group-purchasing rules.

Read the full project summary

Peanut Butter Printing needed to connect personalized apparel design with group purchasing. Customers and company branches had to preview their designs, meet production minimums and receive lower prices as purchases accumulated across a campaign.

The WooCommerce build connected InkSoft's embedded Design Studio to ordering and enforced a 20-item minimum. A custom plugin tracked completed purchases across individual and grouped products, applied six configurable pricing tiers and recalculated cart prices as sales reached each threshold. Campaign deadlines, progress displays and remaining-quantity messages explained the purchasing rules before checkout.

Branch-specific checkout fields captured a Cost Center Code and Branch Address, while expired campaigns stopped accepting orders. The resulting workflow brought design, volume pricing and procurement into one purchasing journey. The project archive contains the WordPress commerce layer; InkSoft is externally hosted, and no conversion or revenue figures are claimed.

Charity fundraising

Custom WooCommerce Storefront & Donation Platform for a National Charity Fundraising Campaign

Built one WooCommerce storefront for campaign merchandise, donations and charity content.

What this means: The charity could manage campaign pages alongside merchandise and giving options.

Read the full project summary

An anonymized national Australian fundraising campaign needed one WooCommerce storefront for merchandise and donations. Its requirements included a fast cart on desktop and mobile, campaign-specific donation options, Australian checkout rules and content the charity's team could update each campaign cycle.

A bespoke theme added AJAX-powered side, sticky and bottom carts, all using WooCommerce's own cart and session rather than separate storage. Custom shipping handling kept Express and Standard selections consistent through cart updates and checkout. Donation options included preset or custom amounts, selectable causes, fundraising progress, fee-cover choices and recurring giving, alongside address assistance and server-side phone validation.

ACF flexible-content blocks and shared campaign settings gave the team control over informational pages, banners and related content. Our project record describes merchandise sales and donations within the same storefront. This is a historical implementation; the client's current platform and its operation are not verified. The client's identity remains anonymized.

Music education

CelloBello: A Digital Learning and Opportunity Hub for Cellists

Organized lessons, repertoire, events and opportunities in a searchable WordPress resource library.

What this means: Editors could manage related learning and community content through reusable content controls.

Read the full project summary

CelloBello needed to make a broad specialist resource library useful to students, professional cellists and the wider music community. Lessons, events, repertoire and career opportunities had to be easy to find within a consistent website, while remaining manageable for its editorial team.

The custom WordPress build organized the platform around Lessons, Events, Libraries and Opportunities. Dedicated content types, taxonomies and templates supported discovery by cellist, composer, subject, category and format. Event calendars, organizer and venue information, calendar exports, deadline-based opportunities and community submissions connected learning with participation and professional development.

ACF homepage modules let editors curate major stories and collections, with automatic queries filling appropriate sections when content was not selected manually. The result was one structured foundation for educational resources, editorial content, events and opportunities. The project record supports these functional outcomes; it does not provide analytics or measured engagement gains.

Chimpee — Custom Print-on-Demand E-Commerce Platform

Built photo import, image customization and product selection for a print-on-demand ordering flow.

What this means: Visitors could prepare a personalized product, while the final transaction logic remained unfinished.

Read the full project summary

Chimpee needed a custom ordering experience for photo frames with replaceable printed canvas inserts. The build covered product selection, photo import and image customization, but the client paused the project before live shipping, payment processing and order confirmation were completed.

Built on CodeIgniter and PyroCMS, the platform combined an editable marketing site with custom product and ordering modules. Customers could upload a photo from their device or import one through the project's Facebook and Instagram integrations, then customize the image and choose a size and package. A responsive theme translated the approved designs, while admin screens managed products and configuration.

The project reached approximately 85% completion over about a year. The marketing site, product browsing, photo import, customization and product-configuration steps worked; the final checkout pages did not yet have their underlying transaction logic. FireSale was evaluated as an alternative commerce engine but was not connected to the custom flow. The client stopped for business reasons rather than continuing the remaining checkout work.

Role: Full-stack development

CodeIgniter · PyroCMS · MySQL

Paused by the client at approximately 85% completion. Shipping-rate, payment and order-confirmation logic were unfinished; FireSale was evaluated only.

Clear-Com: A Connected Product Discovery and Support Platform

Connected product families, search, technical resources and regional contacts in WordPress.

What this means: Different visitors had routes to compare products, find support material and contact regional expertise.

Read the full project summary

Clear-Com needed to connect a complex professional communications catalog with market information, technical support and regional expertise. Visitors needed routes suited to their purpose, whether comparing a product family, finding firmware or contacting a sales or rental partner.

The custom WordPress implementation organized products through a dedicated content type, hierarchical families and reusable templates. Product pages linked specifications, documents, software, videos, related products and market applications. Discovery included technology and family browsing, an A–Z catalog, keyword search and AJAX filtering, alongside dedicated support, training, reseller and rental-partner journeys.

ACF modules gave editors reusable controls for product, market, homepage and support content. The available implementation brings product evaluation and post-sale resources into a consistent structure, with relevant commercial contacts along the way. The repository records multiple development stages, so the case study does not claim a fully verified production rollout or measured business gains.

Real estate media

HomeJab: A Video-First Real Estate Marketplace

Connected property videos, structured listings, professional profiles and publishing workflows.

What this means: Property content and its supporting media were organized for browsing and publishing.

Read the full project summary

HomeJab brought video-led property discovery together with a network of realtors, videographers, builders and owners. The challenge was to connect immersive listings, structured property information, professional profiles and publishing workflows within one WordPress marketplace.

The custom build paired property videos with price, status, location, specifications and maps. Search and AJAX suggestions connected locations, listings and people, while role-specific profiles preserved who filmed, built, listed or co-listed each property. A guided publishing flow collected media and listing details, with Rackspace Cloud Files, JW Player and supported YouTube or Vimeo sources handling the video experience.

Infusionsoft integration connected registration, publishing, invitations and enquiries to CRM tags and email follow-up. The project implementation establishes the marketplace's discovery, publishing, professional-profile and lead-capture foundations. Its archive includes substantial uploaded media, but no analytics are available to substantiate traffic, conversion or revenue claims.

Luxury retail

Luxury Jewelry Network: Real-Time Inventory Across 56 Storefronts

Coordinated SKU reservations and payment outcomes across 56 WooCommerce storefronts.

What this means: The same unique item had a shared reservation and sale state across the network.

Read the full project summary

A luxury-jewelry retailer listed the same one-of-a-kind diamonds and limited-edition pieces across independent WooCommerce storefronts. It needed to prevent two customers buying the same physical item, while keeping each regional store's own cart and checkout experience.

The reservation system used a shared SKU identity and three inventory states: Available, Reserved and Sold. Adding an item to a cart reserved it across the network for five minutes. Stripe and PayPal payment outcomes then either marked the item sold everywhere or released it; cart removal and timer expiry also restored availability. Countdown displays and email alerts made the reservation state visible to customers and operations staff.

The case study reports that this model eliminated the duplicate-sale issue. The network grew to 56 synchronized storefronts as the retailer expanded from the United States into Europe. Each site remained a separate WordPress installation, with reservation and payment events coordinating the shared inventory state.

Role: Lead WordPress development within the delivery company

Take Me to the River: A Digital Hub for Film, Music, Touring and Education

Connected film, music, tour events, educational downloads and press resources in WordPress.

What this means: Fans, educators and press could find their relevant content within one website.

Read the full project summary

Take Me to the River had grown from a documentary into a wider initiative covering music, artists, live performances and education. Its WordPress rebuild needed to serve fans, concertgoers, educators and the press through one coherent website.

The development and coordination work connected film, soundtrack, artist, filmmaker and video content with tour calendars, event details and performance galleries. Educational downloads and a structured press kit gave teachers and journalists direct routes to relevant material. An Avada child theme, Fusion Builder components, responsive navigation, newsletter signup and contact forms supported the shared experience, with presentation work coordinated alongside a frontend specialist.

The rebuilt platform brought the initiative's main content and audience journeys into one maintainable WordPress site. Direct client communication supported the work from requirements through delivery. The project record describes a five-star Upwork review and a personal thank-you message after the project was completed.
